Wind River SBC PowerQuicc II

Wind River's SBCPowerQUICC II reference design is a 6U CompactPCI card that enables you to begin project development before your own custom design is available. The board offers a solid platform for hardware and software engineers to use in evaluating and prototyping designs that closely parallel their final applications. The SBCPowerQUICC II also gives software engineers a live target on which to begin developing and testing application code.

The SBCPowerQUICC II reference design comes complete with detailed schematics, a Bill of Materials, VxWorks and Linux board support packages, user documentation, a protective Plexiglas enclosure, a single slot CompactPCI backplane, and a power supply to provide you with a turnkey basis for your own custom design.

In addition, the SBCPowerQUICC II comes standard with 256MB of SDRAM mounted on a SODIMM and connected to the 60x bus running up to 100MHz, 64MB of flash memory mounted on a SIMM and 2MB on-board flash (both connected to the 60x bus via address latches and data buffers), and 16MB of SDRAM connected to the local bus.

The SBCPowerQUICC II also comes with three 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports using the PowerQUICC II's FCC1, FCC2, and FCC3 MIIs interfaced with Broadcom BCM5221 PHYs and RJ45 connectors.

Also standard are two three-wire RS-232 ports using the PowerQUICC II's SMC1 and SMC2 in UART mode, one 10BaseT Ethernet port using SCC1 on the PowerQUICC II with an LXT905 transceiver and RJ45 connector, a 16-pin JTAG interface connection, an external real-time clock with 8KB NvRAM, 8KB EEPROM, an Intel i8259A interrupt controller, a PCI rev 2.2-compliant 32-bit PMC/PPMC slot, and basic hot swap capability using SMH4042 hot swap controller and the Tundra Tsi310 PCI to PCI-X bridge.
